(Chicken Breast en Papillote - which means it was cooked in a pouch, in this case, parchment paper:)
two thighs got turned into this:
(Braised Chicken Thighs)
and then today another breast got turned into this:
(Chicken Saltimboca) This is one of my favorites so far!! chicken breast cut into 4 pieces, each topped with blue cheese, a sage leaf, and a slice of proscuitto, then pounded between parchment paper and pan fried. we made a sauce out of the stuff left in the pan and butter and probably white wine, cuz that's in pretty much everything :P anyways, it was delicious. and those are turned carrots on the side. YOU try to make that shape. i think it's stupid.
next we baked the pot pies that we prepared yesterday, with drumstick meat:
(Chicken Pot Pie) which did not hold a candle to my mom's, and i barely ate any of it. well, i did eat the flaky pastry on top :D
AS IF that's not enough food, we made stir fry out of the chicken tenders:
(Chicken Stir Fry)
We also made fried chicken, using a wok and canola oil, and i did take a picture, but it looks disgusting and didn't taste that good either, nevermind that i don't really like fried chicken to begin with, SO you don't get to see it. We had to julienne a bunch of vegies for the stir fry earlier in the day, and one of my instructors said he would give mine a 7 out of 10! woo! i feel good about that :) i'm having an ok time taking it day by day, and i am learning a lot. the amount of homework some nights is still a little difficult to cope with, but they said the other day that after the 4th week it all gets a bit easier. looking forward to that :P
