Wednesday was gorgeous out here. With a high of 17 I decided that I would take full advantage of the day and climb up Cypress Mountain on my trusty bike. The total trip is 82kms and it includes 3800 vertical feet of climbing. Yikes! Anyway here we go!
I start off at home like usual...if you look just under my in focus finger you can see Cypress behind the trees.
Next I cross over the Burrard Bridge and into downtown. To the right I see Granville Island and a bunch of really pretty condos and to the left I see my goal for the getting closer and closer.

There arent really any good things to take pictures of on the way up. Here you see a really nice house, a building I put siding on last time we lived out here, a road-side waterfall.
This is the view from about 450 meters or about halfway up the mountain.
Views of the top! soon these runs will be covered in snow! This is also where Canada's first Gold medal was won at the Vancouver Olympics. Look how close I am to the sun lol!
After climbing all the way to the top at about 18kms/hr, I put on some warmer clothes and turn around. Going down I hit about 80kms/hr, that lasts only for about 8 minutes but its totally worth the rush lol. At the bottom I stopped in West van and saw a huge ship going under the Lions gate bridge. I also took a look back at Cypress standing 3800 feet above me.
I think thats all I got for ya. I have to go out and apply for a job and get some groceries. Im also gonna make some cookies for Holly, shhhh dont tell lol
